My practice moves between painting, drawing, sound, performance, animation and spatial installation. I work with images and systems that are unstable: bodies dissolve into signals, colours behave like sound, handmade objects imitate digital structures, and noise becomes a material form. I am interested in the point where analog and digital perception overlap. I use reduced colour systems, layered surfaces, pixel-like fragments, light, improvised electronics, DIY instruments and found or recycled visual material. Some works are quiet and almost archaeological; others are loud, absurd or performative. They often move between humour and unease, between a sketch, a technical experiment and a ritual situation. Recurring motifs include fragmented figures, masks, animals, self-portraits, modular structures, artificial light and traces of sound. Rather than separating painting, music and video, I treat them as different ways of testing the same question: how does an image, a body or a sound change when it is translated, repeated, damaged or displaced?
